A brief overview of the rules of Codenames
Aim of the game
Work with your team to be the first to find all your secret agents amongst the 25 words on the table.
How to play
There are two teams, each with a spy master. Only the spy masters can see on the key card which words belong to which team, which are neutral, and where the hitman is.
- The spy master says one word and a number, for example, ‘animal, 2’.
- The team points to words. Right: you can carry on guessing, up to the number plus one.
- A neutral word or a word from the opponent: the turn is over.
End and win
The team that is the first to find all its agents wins. If you point out the hitman, your team loses immediately.
